Simply browse the contents of your computer for the media files you want to host. Opening a file will initiate the upload process. There is a 10MB file-size limit for all hosted media.

What do I do after I've uploaded a picture or a video?

Selected files will appear in your Media Library after they've finished uploading. Clicking on an image in your library will bring you to an alternate page where you can view your file in a small, medium, large, or super-sized format.

You can copy and paste the embed code for these size images directly into the HTML source code of your listing pages. eVendor also provides you with direct and thumbnail URLs of your images that can be included in the code you write for your listing pages.

When and how will eVendor reformat my hosted files?

eVendor automatically resizes images on its servers when they are wider or taller than 800 pixels. This leaves users with hosted pictures that are as large as eBay's Supersized photos. For instance, a picture taken with a 3.1 megapixel camera might be 2048 pixels wide by 1536 pixels tall, but when uploaded to eVendor's servers, it's automatically resized to be 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall. Videos are scaled to 320x240 pixels, and their audio is sampled at 44100Hz.

The site also supports a wide variety of image and video filetypes. As a general rule, uploaded videos are converted to .flv files by eVendor. Photos uploaded as .gif, .png, or .jpg files will remain the same; all other image filetypes will be converted to JPEG files.

eVendor only resizes and reformats the copies of your media hosted on our servers; the images and videos stored on your camera and in your computer will not be affected by this process.
