What kind of information will Auction Analytics collect for me?
We provide merchants with visitor data that's specific to their listings. You can track the dates and times of page views, note the operating systems that prospective customers are using, and find out which search engines and sites are leading visitors to your listings.
In particular, we record the referrer string of your visitors whenever possible. This string tells you what web page the visitor used to reach your listing, which is essential in understanding where your visitors are linking from and how you can grow this existing traffic &mdash and in turn, increase your sales.
Once the Auction Analytics feature is launched, you'll insert the eVendor Analytics Recorder on any page that you want to gather statistics for. eVendor recommends placing the recorder on your eBay listings, as well as on blogs, personal sites, and any other web page that relates to your online listings and store fronts.
